Here are some renders of the protagonist's sword for our third-year game at Falmouth Univeristy. With this asset, I decided to move away from my Zbrush comfort zone and focus instead on developing my skills in hard surface modeling in Maya and texture work in Substance. There are some elements of the design that I ultimately wasn't able to rig by the end, but I hope that the focus on functionality and modularity comes through in its aesthetic. Moving forward I plan to bridge the gap between hard surfaces and sculpting, having now dipped my toes in each workflow.
